“Very comfortable hotel in a great country town. Loved it! Room was lovely, staff helpful. Walking distance to main town. Breakfast was the best we have had over 3 recent hotel stays. We really appreciated the effort to reduce waste with real plates/bowls etc, cutlery and recycling. Would stay again. ”

Hardin Reynolds and his wife produced 16 children here, the most famous being RJ Reynolds who migrated to Winston Salem, NC to start the tobacco empire of the same name. The catalpa tree in the foreground still remains from the earliest days of the homestead.
